ECSE and K-12 Special Education Teachers – LD, EBD, DCD, Sp/Lang., Autism Certification
Dates: Monday, June 17 – Thursday, July 18 (Monday - Thursdays) *No ESY the week of July 4th
Time: K-12 Teacher - 8:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. (students 8:30 a.m. – 11:30 p.m.)
ECSE Teacher - 8:00 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. (students 8:30 a.m. – 11:00 p.m.)
Required (paid) pre-summer meeting: May (TBA)
Job Summary: Carry out IEP goals and objectives as established by the ESY determination documentation.
Teachers will be required to attend a 1 hour (paid) meeting in May and will have 6 hours of prep/set-up time prior to the start of ESY. Teachers will also have 2 hours of prep/clean-up at the end of the session.
Number of positions to be filled is not yet determined and will depend on enrollment and district needs.

1.0 FTE Special Education Evaluation Team Teacher for Shakopee Public Schools for the 2019/2020 School Year. This position will be assigned to Shakopee High School.
Job Summary: The special education evaluation teacher conducts comprehensive evaluations for students to determine initial or continued eligiblity for special education services. Accurately administer, score, analyze and interpret academic, transition, and other assessments. Conduct systematic observations and functional assessments. Integrate all elements of assessment data into a cohesive document to determine eligibility for special education services, including editing written reports, communicating results and team determinations, and completing due process paperwork in a timely manner. Education/Training/Experience:
Require MN licensure in special education.
Experience completing special education evaluations, including administering assessments, conducting observations, and completing due process paperwork related to special education evaluations.
Description: Homebound Special Education Teacher for Shakopee Public Schools. Teacher will provide individualized special education instruction to a student 1 hour per day, 3 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). Instruction will take place at the Shakopee Schools District Office. Job Summary: Deliver direct and indirect special education services to students in in an individualized setting, monitor progress on IEP goals and objectives; follow due process and IEP procedures; communicate effectively with families and staff; implement Behavior Intervention Plans. Provides instruction in content area in accordance with each student's ability, creates a classroom environment that fosters student learning and personal growth. Establishes effective working relationships with students and parents, works collaboratively with other staff members. Education/Training/Experience:

Job Summary: Assume all responsibilities of being a school counselor. This position will have a caseload of students identified as needing additional support. Qualifications: MN Licensure in School Counseling K-12. Previous experience at the secondary level preferred. Qualifications: MN licensure as a Speech/Language Pathologist. Previous experience preferred. Experience with multiple instructional designs and differentiated instruction. Strong classroom management skills. Ability to build successful relationships with students, parents and staff.
