Southern Oregon ESD (SOESD) is seeking a highly collaborative Chief Information Officer to lead multiple technical teams that support teaching and learning as well as the academic, administrative, business, and other technology needs of SOESD and the organizations we serve. The successful candidate should have a sharp focus on supporting educational outcomes, while promoting efficient organizational operations and delivering innovative services that are cost-competitive, highly stable, and secure.
The CIO should be an astute manager of fiscal, technical, and human resources to support a wide-array of services, including redundant data center operations, ISP services, wired and wireless networking, online learning, hybrid in-person/video conferencing, software development, SaaS, VoIP, building security, low voltage and electrical wiring, and a multi-tiered help desk call center. As part of a collaborative leadership team, the CIO will implement strategies to increase student learning through the use of technology in personalized and blended teaching and learning environments that support curriculum, instruction, and assessment through classroom technology integration, online education, digital curriculum, and early warning data systems.

Southern Oregon Education Service District's Special Education Program is looking to hire a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, who wants to work with a supportive multidisciplinary team (Autism consultants, school psychologists, life skill classroom teachers, etc.) assigned to serve students in SOESD’s special programs and in component school districts. The BCBA is to provide a range of direct and consultative services including but not limited to: coaching and training, collaboration with school district teams, conducting assessments (i.e. functional behavioral assessments, evaluations for Autism Spectrum Disorders eligibility, etc.), writing behavior support plans and IEP goals, participating in eligibility/IEP meetings, tracking student progress, and conducting individual and small group sessions about social skills, functional communication, organization, self-advocacy, adaptive/life skills, etc. The students we serve may qualify for special education services in various disability categories and may be bilingual. The Southern Oregon Education Service District is seeking a highly professional and experienced occupational therapist to deliver school-based services to students in districts in the Southern Oregon region. The therapist will provide consultation and training to school staff, evaluation of student eligibility, progress and needs, recommendation and adjustment of equipment, input toward IEP development, and occupational therapy treatments typically provided to students with motor impairments.

The STEPS Plus program offered by Southern Oregon Education Service District (SOESD) is an exceptional, specialized educational program that serves students from ages 5 – 21 who experience multiple, significant disabilities along with cognitive deficits, and/or life-impacting medical conditions. Currently, the program is at capacity serving a total of 20 students with half attending during the morning session and half in the afternoon. In addition, a team of expert specialists, including a school psychologist, ASD specialist, speech and language pathologist, occupational therapist and school nurse, deliver direct services to students and consultative services to staff and parents.
