  •   The Child Development Laboratory School located on the Iowa State University campus (Ames, Iowa)  is seeking teachers for substitute early childhood teachers to work as needed. The responsibilities may include assessing children’s development, implementing curriculum to meet individual child needs, collaborating with other Lab School staff, communicating with parents, and supervising practicum students.
    This is a pool posting for substitute early childhood teachers to fill in as needed in the Child Development Laboratory School. Substitutes are not eligible for benefits and are limited to 780 hours per fiscal year.
    Preferred candidates will have experience working with children birth through age five in a group setting.

    Required  Licensure: 

    Current state of Iowa teaching license (initial, standard, or master) in one of the following categories:
    • Early Childhood Education
    • Early Childhood Education Special Education
    • Elementary Education with endorsement 103
    • Elementary Education with endorsement 100
