Ideal candidate will possess outstanding communication skills, graphic design capabilities, and experience in websites and social media or be willing to learn. Candidate must have a passion for education and children, doing “whatever it takes” to advance the education of Oelwein CSD students. Excellent organizational skills desired including proficiency in Google Docs/MS Office with expertise in Microsoft Word and Excel. Salary based on experience with a minimum of $35,000 plus, IPERS and insurance benefits.

Job Goal: Implement District vision of “Whatever it Takes” to assure the smooth and efficient operation of the office to have the maximum positive impact on the education of children
Act as the point of contact for parents and staff
Act as receptionist for office
Regularly update and maintain District website and social media sites
Generate, create, build, google docs, memos, and reports when appropriate
Coordinate reports and communications between building secretaries
Respond to questions and requests for information
Maintain personnel files including evaluations and licensing, etc.
Provide support for employee online leave system
Prepare and write district level communications
Implement and monitor programs as directed by management
Prepare employment contracts
Provide support to the Superintendent, business office and transportation dept.
Assist in board meeting preparation
Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports
Assume all other duties as assigned by the Superintendent
