    The Council Bluffs Community School District is seeking applicants for the following teaching position for the 2018-2019 school year:

    • Valid Iowa teacher license for providing special education instruction to middle school students
    • Middle School Endorsement
    • Successful teaching experience preferably with middle school students
    • Evidence of professional growth and commitment to future growth in math & literacy instruction
    • Capacity to increase student core area knowledge and skills (reading, writing, math, & science)
    • Ability to develop and implement interventions and assessments that improve student learning
    • Ability to incorporate learning strategies that meet individual student needs
    • Capacity to effectively maintain, implement, and monitor student IEP ‘s.
    • Demonstrate a cooperative, collaborative, problem solving approach to teaching
    • Aptitude and willingness to utilize technology
    • Ability to actively participate in the change process as a positive contributing member to develop program innovations and continuously refine the special education building plan
    • Instructional skills in working with classroom instructors as a support and resource for teaching core area subjects
