    • Special Education-Strategist 1 & /or Early Childhood Preferred

    • Reading and Early Childhood Endorsement preferred

    • Demonstrates competence in classroom management

    • Aligns assessment with instruction

    • Knowledge of differentiated Instruction and classroom application

    • Proficient in the demonstration of research-based instructional practices in math and reading

    • Creates a classroom culture that supports learning of every student

    • Supportive of professional learning community structures and working with instructional coach and teach leaders to improve teaching practices.

    • Highly skilled in the use of technology to enhance instruction

      This person in this position will be collaborating with the current early childhood/preschool teacher and kindergarten teachers to support students with special needs and interventions.

    District Information: Andrew CSD is a PK-8th grade school district with students who are whole grade shared to Maquoketa CSD and Bellevue CSD for high school. Andrew is located approximately 45 miles north of the Quad Cities and 35 miles south of Dubuque. Andrew is a Leader in Me school and has recently become a Lighthouse School (the fourth Lighthouse School in Iowa). The Leader in Me structure focuses on integrating leadership and service into the curriculum to support our students in guiding their learning and determining how they can be leaders in whatever they choose to do. Andrew is a 1:1 district and has many opportunities for students to use and demonstrate their learning using technology. We are looking forward to having another person on our Andrew team who is collaborative and focuses on how to support the learning needs of all students.
