Reports to work as scheduled on a regular and reliable basis.
Establishes positive relationships with students and adults.
In coordination with staff, monitors and supports implementation of behavior intervention service programs for students.
Supports direct intervention services to students in cooperation with staff members.
Implements appropriate and proven intervention methods for individual students as needed.
Intervenes with students to de-escalate behaviors and implement physical interventions as needed.
Provides accurate documentation and post-crisis follow-up to classroom/special education teachers and/or building principal for parent communication.
Provides feedback to the individual education team regarding data collection, appropriateness and effectiveness of the intervention while in the classroom.
Reinforces social skill training and assists students in implementing skills for successful integration in the classroom.
