  •   Boyden-Hull Elementary School is looking for a Part-Time Custodian. Job details are as follows:



    Reports to:    Building Principal/Building Lead Custodian        





    1. General maintenance and cleaning experience
    2. Able to demonstrate cleaning procedures and respective equipment
    3. Capable of responding to emergency situations, as needed
    4. Demonstrate a positive attitude toward people
    5. Willing to work cooperatively
    6. Self-starter    

    Performance Responsibilities

    1. Unlocking and securing school facilities
    2. Clean sinks, drinking fountains, and sink counters
    3. Dust desks, counter tops, flat surfaces
    4. Clean restrooms, refill dispensers
    5. Clean rooms and hallways, empty wastebaskets
    6. Clean hardware, glass, main light fixtures, clean floors, including multi-purpose rooms, clean walls, ceilings, door frames, baseboards, and white boards
    7. Comply with all safety and health standards as set by state and federal regulations
    8. Clean trophy case during the course of the year
    9. Attend growth workshop - if recommended
    10. Other duties as assigned
    11. Consults with administration, secretarial, food service, and other staff

    Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

    1. Good physical health, including ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
    2. Some repetitive motions with wrists, hands, and fingers
    3. Frequent bending, carrying, heaving, lifting, pushing, and stooping
    4. Occasional climbing, crawling, and reaching
    5. Occasionally required to work at extreme temperature and humidity
    6. Occasionally subjected to vibrations, mechanical and electrical hazards
    7. Atmospheric conditions may include fumes, odors, mists, and dust 
    8. Potential exposure to communicable illnesses
    9. Caution to avoid misuse of chemicals



    Terms of Employment:


    Salary and work year as stated in the employee’s payroll advice statement.
