Okoboji Middle School seeks a Reading Interventionist to join our outstanding team for the 2018-2019 school year. The reading interventionist’s job is to collaborate with our literacy coordinator and teacher leader team to provide high-level literacy support to students in a small group setting. Our tagline is "Pioneering Pathways for Every Student," and the person hired for this position will have an integral role in helping bring our tagline to life by helping students build their foundational skills in reading. This is a part-time position (Monday, Wednesday, Friday - 25.5 hours/week) and starting pay, for those with a teaching degree, will be $16/hour.
Preference will be given to candidates who:
have a current Iowa teaching degree, preferably in the area where intervention duties will be performed.
have experience collaborating with others to support the needs of students.
