Level III Special Education Program Associate Category I, Class C, 7 hrs./day, 176 days/yr. New hires must have an AA degree, Para-educator Certificate, or ability to pass Bronze level NCRC. Position requires lifting, supervising and monitoring students with diverse needs in a variety of settings. Must be able to monitor and implement teacher directed instructions and behavior management plans with consistency, following IEP goals. Capability to work with students in small groups (or individually, one-on-one). CPR and Bloodborne Pathogens Training required. Position requires working with students who are dependent in activities of daily living (e.g. personal hygiene, toileting, eating, etc…). Testing not required. Will not be able to bid into other "C" positions without testing. Flexibility, mobility, and ability to lift in excess of 75 pounds on a repetitive basis. Other duties as assigned.
