Essential Job Functions:
Creates a welcoming and professional environment; organizes registration, conferences; purchasing & department budgets and work orders; filling staff absences and other items related to staff organization; clerical and other duties assigned by principal.
Experience working in an elementary school; knowledge of Google Docs, AESOP, Infinite Campus, and ALIO; experience answering phones and taking message effectively and using fax; experience working with the public- both adults and children; strong Google Document skills, clerical and bookkeeping skills; must have excellent attendance; strong communication skills both written & verbal; must be able to multi-task with attention to detail and timelines; a welcoming and professional demeanor with abilities to work with diverse group of students, families, fellow staff members as well as the general public; Excellent attendance and excellent evaluations from supervisors; must be friendly and kind and have a positive attitude; experience with Leader in Me Preferred.

TITLE: Full Time- 9 Month Building Secretary Hours: 7:15-3:45 Pay: $14.35 QUALIFICATIONS:

Assigned Administrator/Supervisor JOB GOAL:
To assist the appropriate administrator/supervisor in the operation of the district. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Types correspondence, written communication, reports, and other correspondence. 2. Completes secretarial work including telephone calls, messages, and receptionist duties as requested by administrator/supervisor. 3. Assists in hiring substitute staff. 4. Processes all requisitions and purchase orders and communicates with staff regarding payments of bills and accounts. 5. Is responsible for the proper receipt of all funds and monies collected and their processing. 6. Orders and maintains supplies as needed for the operation of the office. 7. Responsible for the use and functioning of office machines. 8. Develops and maintains an effective level of communication with appropriate personnel. 9. Maintains a continuing program of staff development and training to develop a competent workforce. 10. Performs other duties as may from time to time be assigned by the administrator/supervisor/ Superintendent. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Bending, carrying, climbing, driving, lifting, pushing-pulling, reaching, sitting, standing, walking. WORKING CONDITIONS:
1. Includes extremes of temperature and humidity. 2. Hazards include stairs and communicable diseases. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
10-month secretary position covered by the Support Agreement EVALUATION:
Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Classified Personnel.
