BASIC FUNCTION: Administer the multi-unit food service operation in compliance with federal and state regulations relating to School Child Nutritional Programs (SCNP), and decision making involving personnel matters and all phases of the program. Responsible for monitoring Key Performance Indicators pertaining to Food and Nutrition Services Department using department surveys and monitoring results. This position will lead and direct the district Wellness Committee. This position will lead professional development around dietary, nutritional and wellness measures for staff. This position will serve as the district liaison for sector partnerships and will ensure industry best practices are being followed. Establish recycling program at each school building for food and physical waste in the Food Service department. This position requires continuous use of independent judgement. The essential functions as shown below represent only the key areas of responsibility; specific position requirements will vary depending on the needs of the operations department.

This position is a cook to aid in the prepartation, serving, and cleaning up of meals as directed by the Food Service Director. Hours will be 7:15 AM - 1:15 PM M-F Start date -mid-March
Assists in putting away food and supplies; possess good skills in the use of food service equipment, assists department head in ensuring that needed food and supplies are ordered, assists with setting up serving areas and dispensing food. If need arises, go to satellite schools to serve food, record amounts of food used and clean up serving areas, drive delivery truck as assigned. Deliver and pick up food and supplies in an emergency, assist department head in maintaining freezer and storage areas in an orderly manner, thaw and cool foods in compliance with proper sanitation guidelines, pick up food and supplies and deliver to assigned building and any other duties as assigned by the manager. Hours: 4.0 per day Assignment: Bakery Position requires ability to move and/or lift at least 50 pounds as needed, have a valid driver’s license, basic computer skills, basic math skills, and knowledge of measuring conversions. All employees are expected to attend and become certified in ServSafe.

Hours: 4.00 per day Position requires ability to move and/or lift at least 50 pounds as needed, have a valid driver’s license, basic computer skills, basic math skills, and knowledge of measuring conversions. This position provides instruction to staff, assists in putting away delivered food and supplies, ensures that equipment is properly used and cared for, prepares food items by using appropriate methods and standardized recipes; informs manager of food and supplies needed for department, assists with setting up serving areas and dispensing food; and performs cleaning duties as assigned by the manager. This position assumes responsibilities for the assigned department by keeping daily records of all food and non-food supplies used in assigned department for inventory records; maintains freezers and storage areas in an orderly manner, thaws and cools foods in compliance with proper sanitation guidelines and ensures proper food temperature and documentation is kept by calibrating thermometers and any other duties as assigned. Starting salary of $11.50 per hour. Hours: 5.5 per day Position requires ability to move and/or lift at least 50 pounds as needed, have a valid driver’s license, basic computer skills, basic math skills, and knowledge of measuring conversions. All employees are expected to attend and become certified in ServSafe.
