Summer Tech Help (2 positions) $8.50/hr. Assist in maintenance, inventory and repair of existing equipment. Assist in imaging equipment for district wide projects. Move or deliver hardware from one district building to another. Summer help will be required to run fiber optic and copper data calbe, setting up computer systems and configuring computer systems and working in school buildings without air conditioning. Work beyond the start of school a possibility. Lifing and ladder work may be required. A valid driver's license will also be required. Three positions available.
The North Scott Community School District is seeking an individual to fill the roll of the our IT Director. The candidate must have the following qualifications and performance responsibilities:
Training in computer science or related field.
Experience and training in Network Management
Experience with broad array of computer applications
Has the ability to manage information systems
Has the ability to work and communicate effectively with staff
Proficient in PC & Mac hardware problem resolution
An understanding of the role of technology in curriculum and instruction
Manages Student Information System
Deal and advise with problem resolution issues
Maintains and improves district networks including troubleshooting and system maintenance.
Manages district email system
Web page duties as assigned
Has an understanding and assists with district business and communication systems software
Leads the planning of network upgrades and makes recommendations for purchase of equipment
Monitor network traffic with appropriate software, identify and resolve network problems
Annually updates district technology vision.
Monitors district technology budget
Participates on the K-12 Technology Committee in formulating and implementing an educational technology district-wide long-range plan
Coordinates building level in-service with the building principal and/or media specialist
Assists the administration with the overall purchasing of district hardware and software
District liaison with AEA and other agencies
Coordinate e-rate applications and follow-up
Create databases and extract data for reporting purposes
Coordinate data extraction and review for accuracies
Other duties as assigned
This position is a twelve month mid-managers position. The salary range is $80,000 - $90,000. The final salary will be negotiated and determined based upon experience, education, and training.

Technology Associate -- Boone High School QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Knowledge and operation in computer and technology use. 2. Background and experience in computer applications and Google. 3. Aptitude in technology applications and hardware configuration. 4. Ability to accurately follow verbal and written instructions. 5. Effective communication and strong customer service skills. 6. Sensitivity and flexibility in working with adults and students. 7. Dependability regarding punctuality and attendance. 8. Skills in organization and time management. 9. Ability to lift at least 60 pounds and to perform repetitive physical tasks. 10. Ability to work well with others. 11. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
ACCOUNTABLE TO: Director of Technology JOB GOAL: To provide support, maintenance, and administration of computer systems and other educational technologies as well as user assistance and training. ESSENTIAL PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Responds to help desk tickets in a timely and organized manner. 2. Assist in maintaining inventory of district computers and computer peripherals. 3. Set up, deploy and deliver district technology. 4. Coordinate with Technology Director on outside support when necessary. 5. Maintain classroom and instructional support of technology in the district 6. Maintain assistive technologies. 7. Basic technology troubleshooting. 8. Configure basic applications used in the district for staff. 9. Assist in creating instructional videos and handouts for staff. 10. Assist in the installation and set-up of new equipment and labs. Assist with set-up of equipment for meetings, Inservice workshops, summer school, etc. 11. Assist in compliance of software licensing. 12. Assist in checking equipment out to staff. 13. Organizes and maintains technology work area. 14. Coordinate the daytime sound system operations as needed. 15. Such other duties as are required by the Director of Technology. The above are the primary responsibilities. Additional duties in support of District needs will include those assigned by the Director of Technology and/or superintendent.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 8 hours per day, 12-month position, $13.72/hr EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on evaluation of Support Services Personnel.
