    Job Summary:  The Faculty Supervisor provides the Day School staff with the structural processes, culture and guidance to maintain best practice, retain and inspire exceptional team members.

    • Minimum of two years experience working with students & families impacted by autism 
    • Knowledge of Turning Pointe Programming
    • Ability to implement behavior support plans
    • A proven record as a team leader in a therapeutic and/or educaitonal environment
    • Illiniois Professional Educator License with a general adminstratie, principal, or director of special education endorsement and Learning Behavior 
    Primary Responsibilities:
    • Provide leadership, support and management of school personnel and teams to foster performance that supports students, culture of learning and program needs.
    • Establish and commuicate performance expectations/standards that include professional goals.
    • Provide supportive feedback guidance and mentoring, recommend and monitor Professional Development.
    • Direct, inspire nd develop current and future school personnel.
    • Collaborate with Directors and team leaders to develop staff trainings related to program outcome needs and personal professional goals.
    • Manage school personnel activities including the hiring process, evaluation, discipline, and or dismissal of school employees, consultants and contract service providers.
    • Collaborate with consultants and contract service providers as needed.
    • Partner with Directors on the school budget for personnel to ensure expenses related to salaries incentives and Professional Development fall within the fiscal practices approved by the Turning Pointe Board of Directors.
    • Chair or facilitate all school meetings regarding personnel.
    • Participate in and/or assist with internal and external events as required by the school and organization.
    • Collaborate with Compliance Officer to maintain compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, mandated requirements, and standards regarding program, students, and staff.
    • Participate in and/or assist with internal and external events as required by the school and organization.
    • Serve on local, national or other committees as required by the school or organziation.
    • Other duties as assigned

    Working Conditions:
    • May include lifting and supporting up to 50 lbs.
    • May be required to bend, stoop, and kneel.
    • Ability to work at a desk, conference table or in meetings of various configurations.
    • Ability to stand and circulate for extended periods of time.
    • Moderate to high stress levels.
    • Daily contact with students, teachers, and school staff.
    • Regular contact with parents, community members and outside agency personnel.
    • May be exposed to contact with individuals displaying physically aggressive, self-abusive, or socially undesirable behavior.
