NEXT STEP - VOCATIONAL COUNSELOR Description: The Administration is seeking a person qualified by education and experience to carry out the duties assigned to the position and in general, to establish and maintain a high level of standards of excellence in the Vernon Public Schools. 2-5 years of experience preferred. This position is hourly non-affiliated with an excellent benefit package. Please see benefits listed below. The hourly wage range for this position is $16.50 - $18.87/hr
NON-AFFILIATED EMPLOYEE BENEFITS Full time (30 hours or more) 11 month employees July 1, 2019 – June 30, 2020 The Board currently provides the following benefits to non-affiliated employees. These benefits are not guaranteed and are subject to change by the Board at any time, in its sole discretion, without notice or consultation with non-affiliated employees. Personal Leave: Up to 5 days of personal leave per year, non-cumulative for imperative personal business which cannot effectively be conducted outside of the work day – includes illness in the immediate family, death in the immediate family, legal business and religious holidays. (pro-rated for partial year employment) Sick Leave: 15 sick days per year accumulative to 150 days no payout upon retirement. (pro-rated for partial year employment) Holiday: 13 paid holidays (If school is in session, you will receive a floating holiday) New Year’s Day Martin Luther King Day President’s Day Good Friday Memorial Day Columbus Day 4th of July Thanksgiving Day Labor Day Christmas Eve Veteran’s Day Christmas Day Day after Thanksgiving Life/AD&D Insurance: Term Life Insurance and AD&D provided in an amount of $50,000. Health Insurance: A high deductible health plan (“HDHP”), which has a $2,000 single and $4,000 family annual deductible for in-network services. Employee premium share contribution is 20%. A health savings account (“HSA”) shall be established by the Board for each employee. The Board deposits annually the sum of $1,000 for single coverage and $2,000 for family or 2 person coverage in the employees’ HSA to partially cover the cost of the deductible, half in July and the remaining half in January. Dental Insurance: Full dental plan with riders A, B, C & D. Employee premium share contribution is 35%. Retirement Plan: You will be required to participate in the Town of Vernon Retirement Plan as defined by the Town.
