Responsibilities:
1. Provide guidance for teachers in implementing the Reading and Math Programs
2. Open the building for each session and make sure the facility is ready
3. Supervise every aspect of the programs for smooth operation
4. Close and secure the building each session
5. Monitor attendance of students
6. Demonstrate initiative for recognizing and resolving issues, concerns, or problems
7. Conduct classroom visits to ensure implementation of curriculum
8. Represent the District in a professional and supportive manner
9. Complete and maintain all required records
10. Distribute materials needed for instruction, provide Professional Development on programs, provide a check out list to teachers, conduct an inventory of supplies and materials, and return any materials to the EL Program Department at Lincoln Center at the end of the program
11. Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
The ideal candidate would have strengths in communication skills, both written and verbal, is self-motivated and a great team leader with creativity and problem-solving skills. Must coordinate the program.

1. Must have a valid Illinois Administrative Certificate Type 75, (Bilingual Certification and/or ESL endorsement preferred)
2. Experience working in an Elementary setting for the Elementary position and High School experience if working for the High School

Organizational Relationship:Under the primary direction of the building principal and secondary direction of the Area Superintendent, the Assistant Principal must be a passionate, student-centered, teacher-leader, who accepts the responsibility for ensuring the academic and social success of ALL Waukegan High School students. The Assistant Principal will play a pivotal role in the implementation of an aggressive 5-year high school transformation plan and is expected to support grade-level and departmental initiatives. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:1. Drive and support the implementation of the School Improvement Plan and 5 year High School Transformation plan and beyond;2. Serve on the school's Instructional Leadership Team (ILT);3. Develop and maintain a positive academic culture while holding the school accountable for student achievement;4. Provide coaching and feedback to teachers/staff to ensure school improvement plan strategies and instructional best practices are implemented;5. Responsible for supervising the work of Department Chairs and Teacher Leaders;6. Lead, develop, support, and empower grade-level teams and content teams to improve student achievement;7. Ensure district-sponsored curriculum is implemented by providing ongoing feedback and monitoring to teachers; is appropriate for student grade/ability, prepares students for successful post-secondary experiences, and prepares students for success on mandated assessments;8. Promote and facilitate instruction in conjunction with Department Chairs, Instructional Coaches, and the Office of Teaching and Learning;9. Coordinate development of, collect, and analyze instructional, benchmark, and common assessment data to ensure student progress and program effectiveness and drive curriculum development and assessment;10. Collaborating with Department Chairs in the evaluation curricular programs on an ongoing basis and recommend new programs in conjunction with the Building Principal and in collaboration with the Department of Teaching and Learning;11. Responsible for interviewing and making recommendations to the Principal and Area Superintendent for hiring;12. Responsible for making master schedule recommendations to building Principal to maximize teacher effectiveness and support student learning;13. Complete teacher/staff evaluations according to the Collective Bargaining Agreement;14. Provide continuous monitoring of content delivery and instructional design via walk-throughs and evaluations;15. Participate in the planning and implementation of professional development for content area members and High School staff;16. Responsible for providing support to all teachers to ensure the development necessary to maximize student learning;17. Manage and oversee inventory of curricular materials, instructional resources, texts, and equipment;18. Collaborates with building staff to support students and their families;19. Facilitates, communication between personnel students and/or parents for the purpose of evaluating situations, solving problems, and or resolving conflicts;20. Adhere to all WPS60 board policies;21. Ensure integrity of discipline and attendance records; as it relates to enforcing the Student Handbook and the district's disciplinary expectations;22. Oversee Positive Behavioral Systems and Supports (PBIS) as well as discipline of students and ensure the implementation of the District Discipline Code;23. Monitor student attendance and ensure the implementation of the School Attendance Policy;24. Develop and implement discipline and attendance plans to increase student attendance and decrease out-of-school suspensions;25. Support students with the MTSS process, providing interventions for students with academic, behavioral and social concerns;26. Ensure the due process for all students, including those with IEPs and 504 plans;27. Collaborate and support state and local building-wide assessment administration (ISA, SAT, PSAT, ACCESS, Final Exams, etc);28. Responsible for planning, staffing, and coordinating summer school in collaboration with department chairs and district administration;29. Confer with the building Principal on personnel matters;30. To offer technical assistance across the district as needed for network administration. The C.T. - Network Support Technician is directly responsible to the Manager of Network Services for the Information Technology Services Department and indirectly to the Associate Superintendent for Information Technology Services
Essential Functions:
1. Perform daily network programming, configuration, installations, monitoring, testing, and troubleshootingfor all network infrastructure equipment and software, ensuring reliable day-to-day operation for wide andlocal area networks, including, but not limited to DHCP, DNS, VLANs, SNMP, CLI, STP, OSPF, scripting,static routing, wireless, and firewall.
2. Perform and coordinate network repairs, including fiber/ethernet cable installation, cable management, and Ethernet port repairs to provide reliable, ongoing access to technology resources;
3. Perform monthly routine firmware and maintenance upgrades on all network equipment: firewalls, switches, routers, network servers, uninterrupted power supplies (UPS), and wireless access points
4. Configure and troubleshoot the district's firewalls, remote access protocols, NAT translations, URL internet filtering, ISP routing, security policies, VPN access, decryption processes, and load-balancing solutions. This involves ensuring compliance with the Children's Internet Protection Act (CIPA) and continuously enhancing the district's cybersecurity posture to mitigate vulnerabilities effectively.
5. A network resource for the annual network audit, working with auditors on all aspects of the audit; internal (Active Directory), external (Public IP, Web, VPN), applications (Infinite Campus, Clever), wireless network, social engineering (email phishing, passwords), network segmentation, database security (Oracle, DB MSSQL), device configurations (servers, switches, firewall), network architecture, VoIP security, cloud security (MS365, GDrive), and modem requirements. Collaborating with other district personnel to verify that remediation measures have been implemented to mitigate network risks. Additionally, provide specified IP ranges and/or VLANs to be targeted for penetration testing in accordance with each of the audit parameters.
6. Collaborating with district's divisions, as a resource assisting with cybersecurity updates, governed by vendors and/or staff for all network-connected devices (security cameras, solar panels, door systems, student access systems, HVAC, call managers, Halo, etc) to ensure, at minimum, annual updates of firmware are completed, and proper system credentials are in place before deployment of new systems, thereby mitigating risks associated to the network.
7. Communicate with other district leaders and/or ITS members to ensure that device operating systems are at security compliance levels according to the manufacturer's date.
8. Conduct a quarterly vulnerability penetration test to identify weaknesses within the network.
9. Evaluate and resolve network connectivity issues through effective troubleshooting. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, vendors, and partners to ensure prompt resolution of problems, including on-site support as needed.
10. Research and recommend best practices, new technologies, and tools to enhance the district's network and security infrastructure, following NIST and CISA standards.
11. Perform ongoing design, implementation, and monitoring of all district WAN, LAN, wired and wireless networks, network security measures, and violations, proactively resolving problems and capacity planning;
12. Performs proof of concept and builds test beds for new deployments to analyze potential network impact.
13. Proactively monitor network performance and integrity, taking corrective actions on issues with network, internet, wireless connectivity, UPS, VoIP, and other support network services.
14. Maintain an inventory of all network equipment and applicable software
15. Prepare, assist, and/or update network documentation including diagrams, topologies, IP subnets, security procedures, service level agreements (SLA), and standard operating procedures (SOP).
16. Document and escalate when necessary all network-related issues.
17. Work closely with ITS executives, leaders, staff, and stakeholders in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions for all of the organization.
18. Assist in the assignment and completion of all network-related Help Desk requests;
19. Perform all job-related duties in the safest possible manner.
20. Support computer assistants and regional technicians with student and staff devices for network connectivity.
