Position Title: Lifeguard
Position Description:
Lifeguards are primarily responsible for supervising and maintaining a safe pool environment. Lifeguards enforce facility rules and regulations and educate patrons about them.
Qualifications:
Position Title: Learn To Swim Instructor & Lifeguard
Learn to Swim Instructors & Lifeguards are primarily responsible for providing appropriate swim instruction to children and adults of all ages and abilities. Instructors enforce facility rules and regulations and educate patrons about them.
Training: We use onsite swim instructor training for new aquatics staff. New Instructors will be required to attend a Westonka Swim Academy and shadow a Swim Instructor for approximately 6- 10 hours prior to teaching. During this time new instructors will shadow experienced instructors' classes and gain valuable knowledge and teaching skills before teaching classes on their own. During the Swim Academy instructors will learn communication skills for kids and parents, as well as best practice teaching swimming and safety skills. Once hired staff will also be required to attend periodic training and in-services throughout the session.

Instructor - English Language, Adult Basic Education (Mound) ABE at WeCAN 5213 Shoreline Dr, Mound, MN 55364 Part-Time Position Tuesdays: 5:30-8:00 PM Start Date: August 12, 2025 Job Summary: WEST ABE is a consortium of educational sites within school districts and four county jails to help adults acquire basic skills. Monticello is the fiscal agent. This position involves providing direct instruction to adults in an Adult EL program in Mound at WeCAN evening from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. plus 1/2-hour prep; which evening may be able to be changed. Up to 40 paid professional development hours are available annually. Responsibilities will include providing direct instruction to adult students who are working to improve their English skills. Position also includes student assessment, returning student phone calls, monitoring student attendance, completing necessary student record keeping and other duties as assigned. Minimum qualifications: Valid MN teaching license for teaching English as a Second Language, or the following: a person who possesses a bachelor's or master's degree in English as a second language; applied linguistics; or bilingual education. Role and Responsibilities We are seeking a dedicated, passionate, and responsible high school student to serve as the Student Music Director for our upcoming middle school theatre production of Shrek, Jr. This is an excellent opportunity for a musically talented high schooler interested in gaining experience in teaching, directing, and working with younger actors in a creative and supportive environment. The Student Music Director will work closely with the Music Director and other production staff to support the overall success of the show. The Student Music Director will help the Music Director during auditions, rehearsals, and tech week with writing music notes and information to be added to the rehearsal reports. At the direction of the Music Director, the SMD will help in rehearsing music, assisting in warm ups, and providing support to the Music Director as needed.
