Description:
District 27 is looking for multiple motivated, energetic, and student-centered educators to work with students with IEPs in a classroom setting for the 2023-24 school year. Northbrook School District 27 is a professional learning community made up of approximately 1300 students across three schools educating students to succeed in a changing world. There are currently needs at Hickory Point School (grades PK-2), Shabonee School (grades 3-5), and Wood Oaks Junior High (grades 6-8). There are also multiple opportunities available to earn extra money through supervision before, during, and after school. Bachelor's Degree or greater is preferred, as is a teaching or substitute license. Hourly rate is established based on experience, but degreed candidate rates start at $21/hr.

Northbrook School District 27 is a professional learning community made up of approximately 1300 students across three schools educating students to succeed in a changing world. The three schools are grade level centers: Hickory Point School (grades PK-2), Shabonee School (grades 3-5), and Wood Oaks Junior High (grades 6-8). This RLA position at Wood Oaks is for a seventh grade teacher who will be on a 12-week leave of absence beginning approximately at winter break. The leave will run through mid-April. Paid co-teaching with the teacher prior to winter break as a part of the turnover process is desirable. Middle school language arts endorsement required. Long-term subs are paid Lane One / Step One of our teacher salary schedule, which wil $310 per day for the 2023-24 school year. No benefits are offered with this position.

Wood Oaks Junior High is seeking to hire a coach for their 6th/7th/8th grade Coeducational Soccer team. Tryouts have started already, so we are looking to hire immediately.
Season lasts about 7 weeks, with the final game scheduled for October 17
Most weeks are comprised of three games and one practice Monday through Thursday
Home games are at Wood Oaks, road games in Northbrook/Glenview
Games start around 4:00-4:30 depending on buses and last a little over an hour
Riding the bus from Wood Oaks to the away games is an expectation of the job
First Aid certification is a requirement of the position
Salary: $1,663 for the season

District 27 is searching for enthusiastic, child-centered educators to serve as substitute teachers at all three buildings. A qualified substitute can choose to work at the K-2(Hickory Point), 3-5(Shabonee), 6-8(Wood Oaks) building or choose to work at any of the three depending on need. An Illinois Substitute Teaching License is required, while an Illinois Teaching License is preferred. If you do not have a license, but do have a bachelor's degree, we will help you obtain your licensure. The District 27 Board of Education recently approved a raise in the daily rate of pay for substitute teachers to $150 per day.
