The teacher develops and implements individualized educational programs that support students' academic achievement as well as their social, communication, and functional life skills, while promoting independence across school, community, and vocational settings. Instruction is delivered across multiple environments, including the classroom, throughout the school building, and within the community.
The primary goal of the Special Education Teacher is to design and implement individualized educational programs that empower students to become confident, independent, and productive members of their communities.Qualifications
