Substitute Teachers are responsible for all aspects of maintaining and providing a current:
• Colorado Teaching License or;
• Colorado Initial License or;
• Colorado Substitute 1-3-or 5 year Authorization.
Substitute Pay Rates – Certified Teaching Assignments
Full day assignments:
• $145.00 per full day for assignments.
• Substitute teachers paid for a full day assignment are required to provide teaching and other assigned duties until the close of the school day.
• If a substitute is assigned to cover two different teachers at one school for a total of more than 4.5 hours, he/she will be paid a full day’s substitute pay.
• Weld RE-2 does not pay mileage reimbursement for traveling substitute teachers.
• The first 10 consecutive full days, in the same assignment for the same teacher, is paid at a rate of $145.00 per day. On the 11th consecutive full day in the same teaching assignment for the same teacher, the rate will change to $165.00 per day.
• No other fringe benefits are available.
Half day assignments:
• $72.50 per half day.
• 4.5 hours or less of assignment time with a morning start time of 7:45 a.m. It includes teaching hours as well as time spent performing other duties assigned.  Teaching time shall be exclusive of lunch/before/after school unless assigned a specific duty.
• No other fringe benefits are available.
Payroll Information 
• Your application, a copy of your teaching license and all payroll forms must be complete and on file with the District Office before you are eligible for any assignments. 
• Regular deductions are made for state and federal income tax, PERA and Medicare.
• Paychecks or direct deposit stubs will be mailed to the substitute’s home address.
• Be sure to keep your own records of the days, schools and teachers for which you work.
• It is your responsibility to notify the Payroll Department of any change to your address and direct deposit information.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Track Coach to join our Eaton High School swim program. You will play a vital role in helping our student-athletes reach their full potential. Reports To: Athletic Director

Responsibilities:
-Coordinating the track program at the High School level
-Develop and implement practice programs to promote individual and team development
-Instruct student-athletes on track techniques, rules, and strategies
-Assess student-athlete skills and provide constructive feedback
-Maintain equipment, supplies, and uniforms
-Serve as a liaison between the track program, staff, administration, and the public
-Support the planning and execution of practices and matches
-Model sportsmanship behavior and maintain a high level of professionalism
-Complete administrative tasks, such as record-keeping and distributing eligibility forms
 
Qualifications:
-Experience as a track participant or coach
-High School Diploma/GED
-CPR Certification
-CHSAA test and regulation
-Concussion Education
-Mental Health testing
-Mandatory Reporting
-Ability to work collaboratively with the Athletic Director, and other stakeholders

POSITION DESCRIPTION
 
TITLE:               School Nurse
 
PROGRAM:       Health Services
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. A current unrestricted Colorado RN license
2. A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Preferred)
3. Current Special Services Provider’s license-School Nurse through the Colorado Department of Education or must meet the requirements to obtain this license
4. Current certification in CPR-BLS
TERM OF EMPLOYMENT:         Annually as approved by the School Board.
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Serve as a member of school Staffing Teams.
2. Follows district policies and procedures and maintains strict confidentiality.
3. Demonstrated effective written and oral communication skills.
4. Evidence of ability to establish and maintain effective, cooperative relationships with school personnel, students, and parents.
5. Demonstrated understanding and empathy necessary for working with students.
6. Supervision of health aides.
7. Primary resource for care of ill or injured students.
8. Organization and management of health rooms and health records.
9. Monitors immunization status of students and promotes compliance with Colorado Immunization Laws
10. Monitors accident/incident reports for school safety issues
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Direct Service
   1. Identify health needs of students
   2. Formulate a plan of health care
   3. Implement health care services, providing primary care for students
   4. Evaluate health care services
   5. Establish screening programs for various health problems. i.e., vision and hearing
   6. Develop procedures for crisis intervention for emergencies, acute illnesses, injuries, and emotional disturbances
2. Health Counseling and Education
   1. Identify family health-related needs
   2. Provide in-service to staff and volunteers
   3. Assist staff with health curriculum needs
   4. Counsels with students concerning nutrition and eating disorders, chronic health conditions, mental health issues, problems such as substance abuse, in order to facilitate responsible decision making practices
3. Consultation
   1. Function as part of an educational team in the development of the IEP (Individual Educational Program) and 504’s.
   2. Cooperate with other agencies and professional workers
4. Program Management
   1. Provide training, delegation and supervision of health techs and other staff.
   2. Write and maintain protocols for Health Services Program
5. Diagnosis and Planning
   1. Assists in the identification and programming for students with special health needs
   2. Plan intervention consistent with the Individual Educational Program (IEP)
   3. Develop Individualized Health Care Plans.
6. Human Relations
   1. Enhances positive self-concept and attitude toward learning among students
   2. Portrays a positive attitude toward school nursing
   3. Fosters a positive learning environment
7. Professional Responsibilities
   1. Participation in professional growth opportunities
   2. Collaborates with others to fulfill responsibilities related to building and district goals and priorities
   3. Demonstrates a concern for student health and safety
   4. Maintains necessary student records
 
SALARY:  $48,500-$68,722 annually based on the 2025-2026 Certified Salary Schedule. Salary is dependent on the employee’s education and/or work experience. 
Certified employees will be granted one (1) year for each full year of contractual and/or work experience up to a maximum of nine (9) years. 


DAYS:  182 days per year
 
RESPONSIBLE TO:        Director of Health Services
 
EVALUATION:                As specified in District Policies and appropriate rules and procedures.
