  •   Petrolia CSD is accepting applications for the position of Superintendent of Schools.  Applicants should complete the online application as well as attach a resume, copies of college transcripts, copy of teaching certificate, a one page philosophy of education, and three-five letters of reference
     

    Qualifications: 
    Applicant must possess a valid Texas Superintendent certificate, have a minimum of four years of teaching experience and a minimum of four years experience as a school administrator.  Applicant must be an effective communicator with all stakeholders, an astute financial planner who is knowledgeable of funding sources and the budget process, is a strong instructional leader and possesses an effective management style and strong decision making skills.  Applicant must possess integrity and strong moral values, possess small town values, demonstrate strong people skills, be consistent and fair and be civic minded and active in the community. 

    Compesation:  Salary and benefits will be competitive with districts similar in size to Petrolia and the experience of the applicant.

    Must reside within the boundaries of the Petrolia CISD.  A six month grace period will be given if adequate housing is not available at the beginning of the contract date.

    Candidate Interviews:  March 27-30, 2017 and April 3-6, 2017

    Selecton of the Superintendent Lone Finalist:  April 10, 2017

    Employ Superintendent:  May 3, 2017
