Goodhue County Education District has an opening for a 1.0 fte Occupational Therapist for the 2020-2021 school year. This position will provide school based services to students in the six member districts of GCED. Bachelors or Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy from a school accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association. Current occupational therapy registration with the Minnesota Department of Health. Experience with pediatrics or school related services preferred. An Intervener is a support staff who has received specialized training in deaf-blindness and works one-on-one with a student. The applicant must be fluent in American Sign Language. This position is currently for intervener services on the bus from Red Wing to Faribault in the mornings and from Faribault to Red Wing in the afternoon. Approximately 23 to 23.5 hours per week. Additional duties may be available.

Goodhue County Education District has an opening for a Speech/Language Pathologist. Must be licensed as a Speech/Language Pathologist. Supervision of a Clinical Fellowship Year is available. Under the general supervision of the Executive Director, our speech language pathologists evaluate the speech and language needs for students, develop Individual Education Plans (IEPs), recommend service plans, maintain records and paperwork, and related work as assigned to identified students in their assigned schools within Goodhue County. Professionalism, empathy, and a non-judgmental approach are essential when working with students to ensure their safety and growth and in order to help them understand and exhibit appropriate behaviors at school and in the community. A speech language pathologist is member of a team environment, where collaboration, communication, and adaptability are key to the success of the team and the success of the students. The speech language pathologist role is performed following District policy and State/Federal Laws.

Goodhue County Education District has an immediate opening for a Setting IV Paraprofessional. This paraprofessional will work under the supervision of special education teachers serving students for EBD, ASD, or DCD in a Setting IV program at River Bluff Education Center in Red Wing. Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:45 a.m. -3:00 p.m., 172 student days + 4 professional development days.
