Job Description Summary/Objective The Assistant Practical Nursing Coordinator/Instructor will be responsible for providing program support for all practical nursing programs at the Great Plains Technology Center. The Assistant Practical Nursing Coordinator/Instructor will be responsible for overseeing the practical nursing clinical organization and clinical site relationship building at the Lawton and Frederick campuses. The position will also provide administrative support to the Practical Nursing Coordinator/Instructor position.
Essential functions
Competencies Clinical Expertise: Two years of experience as an RN in acute care. Two years’ experience as full-time nursing faculty. Possesses advanced knowledge and experience in acute nursing care, understands the latest protocols, procedures and techniques including patient assessment and treatment. Educational Leadership: Demonstrates strong leadership skills to guide faculty and students. This includes curriculum development, instructional design, and ensuring the educational standards are met or exceeded. Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the program. Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to various regulations and accreditation standards. Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and accreditation requirements for OBN & ACEN. Administrative Skills: Efficient management of administrative tasks such as scheduling, resource allocation, and maintaining records. Must possess strong organization and administrative skills to ensure smooth operations and compliance with administrative policies and procedures. Communication and Collaboration: Effective communication to interact with students, faculty, healthcare organizations, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders. Must be adept at fostering collaboration, resolving conflicts, and building partnerships within the healthcare community to enhance the quality of education and clinical experiences for students.
Supervisory responsibilities: None
Work Environment: The PN clinical coordinator typically works in an office environment, the mission of the school may require work in other settings. The position will require the supervision of students and staff in the clinical setting. Travel to the clinical site and to the Frederick campus is required as needed for proper oversight. A standard workweek is assigned by administration as required, evening or weekend hours may be required to accommodate activities.
Physical Demands While performing the duties of this position, the coordinator is frequently required to move or position objects, move throughout the classroom building and/or across campus. Coordinator may need to be able to lift/move patients according to industry standards. The coordinator may respond to emergency situations, student altercations, and communicate with staff, patients, parents, and students. The coordinator is required to perform extensive work at a computer display terminal
Travel required Occasional travel within and outside the Great Plains Technology Center district may be required for sponsorship of student activities, professional development, and participation in other Great Plains Technology Center activities.

Summary/objective The Help Desk/IT Technician supports the Director of Information Technology and the IT Department by ensuring consistent, high-quality customer service and efficient administrative operations. This role manages the IT help desk queue, assists with technology purchasing and vendor communication, and maintains accurate departmental records. The Help Desk/IT Technician provides first-tier support to end users, coordinates training and documentation, and contributes to the smooth operation of campus-wide technology services. The position plays an essential role in maintaining a safe, secure, and high-tech learning environment for students, staff, and the community.
Competencies Customer Service Orientation: Provides friendly, professional, and responsive assistance to internal and external users. Communicates clearly while resolving or coordinating technical issues. Organization & Record Management: Accurately maintains help desk logs, purchasing records, user account data, and spreadsheets. Manages administrative and technical priorities with attention to detail. Technical Aptitude: Applies foundational IT knowledge, solves routine technical issues, and supports access control and security camera systems at a basic level. Learns new systems quickly. Communication & Collaboration: Communicates effectively with IT staff, campus departments, and vendors. Contributes to a positive, coordinated, and service-oriented team environment. Problem Solving & Initiative: Identifies user needs, resolves routine issues proactively, and escalates complex problems appropriately. Looks for opportunities to improve processes and documentation. Adaptability: Responds effectively to shifting priorities, urgent requests, and changing technologies. Maintains composure under pressure. Physical Demands This position requires the ability to sit or stand for extended periods, use a computer for prolonged durations, lift or carry up to 20 pounds, and perform data entry or equipment-related tasks The role may require traveling between campus buildings to support departmental operations.
Travel required Occasional travel between Great Plains Technology campuses. Travel may also include professional development activities and participation in district-wide initiatives.
