  The Assistant Boys LacrosseCoach is responsible for supporting all aspects of the Boys Lacrosse Program as directed by the head boys lacrosse coach. The Assistant Boys Lacrosse Coach is required to abide by the IHSA rules and regulations as well as the rules and regulations set by the Athletic Administration and Board of Trustees.           
Job Requirements / Essential Functions:
 
• The Assistant Boys Lacrosse Coach will help with the execution of the boys lacrosse program and initiatives that align diversity, equity and inclusion with the school’s Catholic identity, mission, Ignatian Spirituality, and the school’s commitments to celebrate, educate and advocate for diversity, equity and inclusion. A successful candidate for the position should be able to collaborate, partner and manage and supervise athletic activities, contests, and practice sessions, to promote individual growth in athletic skills, teamwork, discipline, respect, and good sportsmanship.
• Use a variety of instructional techniques to meet the needs and improve the abilities of student athletes in boys lacrosse.
• Coordinate the development and promotion of the Loyola Academy Boys Lacrosse Program. 
• Develop and implement daily practice plans.
• Attend practices and games. Practices are at Munz Campus in Glenview.
• Travel on the bus to away games.
• Establish performance criteria for competition and evaluate students’ athletic abilities initially and on a regular basis. 
• Assess players’ skills and assign team positions. 
• Determine game strategy based on the team’s capabilities. 
• Monitor and enforce student eligibility criteria for extracurricular participation. 
• Apply and enforce student discipline during athletic contests, practice sessions, and while on trips off school property. 
• Encourage sportsmanlike conduct in all phases of athletic participation at all times. 
• Take all necessary precautions to protect student-athletes, equipment, and facilities, including protecting students from hazing/bullying. 
• Represent Loyola Academy in admissions events including open house, sports nights, grade school lacrosse events and meeting with prospective students.  
• Act as a team representative and promote the sport by communicating with the news media, alumni groups, service clubs, and other organizations at the school.
 
• Communicate with parents/guardians, as necessary, regarding athletic performance of their student.
• Collaborate with the athletic training staff regarding player health and safety.
• Represent Loyola Academy and the boys lacrosse program in a professional manner.
• Maintain nondiscriminatory practices in all activities. 
• Attend staff development meetings, clinics, and other professional activities to improve coaching performance. 
• Perform any other related duties as assigned by the Athletic Director or other appropriate administrator.

Qualifications
 
• The position requires a bachelor’s degree, one to three (1-3) plus years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
• Prior coaching experience at the high school or collegiate level preferably someone who has been a head coach or varsity assistant coach.
• Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours, ability to maintain a flexible work schedule that may include working nights and weekends.

The Head Boys’ Water Polo Coach is responsible for staffing at all aspects of the Boys’ Water Polo Program, scheduling opponents (in conjunction with the Athletic Director), strength & conditioning (off season & in season program), and coaching team members. The Head Boys’ Water Polo Coach is required to abide by the IHSA  rules and regulations as well as the rules and regulations set by the Athletic Administration and Board of Trustees.

• Oversee team service opportunities and schedule weekly team Mass (during the season).

• Manage water polo budget with fiscal responsibility.

Associate Director of Advancement Communications

The Associate Director of Advancement Communications is a member of Loyola Academy’s dynamic Development team and reports to the Director of Annual Giving. This role encompasses digital marketing, social media, and print design & production. Its responsibilities bridge storytelling, writing & design, branding, stewardship, and strategic outreach & communications across Loyola’s fundraising (i.e. major gifts and annual giving) and alumni relations teams. This is a fast-paced role that seeks a mid-level professional who embodies creativity and has a team-oriented mindset. The Associate Director of Advancement Communications is vital in supporting Loyola Academy’s fundraising and alumni engagement strategy and goals. 
 
Key Responsibilities
 
Print, Digital, and Social Media Content Creation
 
• Write and design compelling donor communications including but not limited to: annual appeals, solicitation letters/emails, stewardship pieces, impact reports, data visualization, and campaign-related materials

• Develop content, design, and produce digital marketing emails, including Annual Fund solicitations, Planned Giving outreach, alumni enews (quarterly), LA Loyal newsletter (biannual), and more 

• Prepare social media campaigns and related assets for GivingTuesday, EOCY giving, and Ramblers Rally Day, Loyola’s Day of Giving

• Seek out donor stories from our community across all constituencies: parents, graduate parents, alumni, grandparents, fac/staff, and friends. Develop donor-centered messaging and storytelling that aligns with Loyola Academy’s values, priorities, and aspirations; that celebrates giving; and that promotes a spirit of future generosity 

• Produce the Annual Report and related donor impact stories

• Collaborate with the School Communications team as needed

• Other duties as assigned by supervisor
 
Project Management
 
• Maintain editorial calendars and ensure timely execution of deliverables

• Help manage donor-related website forms and integrations with CRM tools, partnering with the Advancement Services team as needed

• Manage communications for donor events including invitations, registration forms, signage, and post-event follow-up, including but not limited to: thank you emails, recap stories, and attendee surveys  

• Work closely with front line fundraisers (FLFs) to develop materials that address individual donor priorities  

• Serve as liaison between Development (Annual Giving, Major Gifts, and Alumni relations) and the School Communications team to coordinate schedules and timing of messaging across various channels (print, email, social media)

• Ensure consistency in visual and written communications in align with Loyola Academy’s brand guidelines 
 
Required Skills and Characteristics
 
• Superior writing and exceptional understanding of the mechanics of grammar and composition

• Fundamental understanding of the inextricable link between communication, storytelling, relationship building, and, ultimately, successful fundraising

• Strong judgement for appropriate tone and style and excellent attention to accuracy 

• Creative mindset that combines imagination, vision, and willingness to experiment with swift production of materials that are polished and professional 

• Collaborative approach to problem-solving 

• Flexible, fast, and adaptable writing ability to tell stories in interesting and compelling ways to specific audience segments (e.g. young alumni, parents, board members)

• Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines

• Superior use of Adobe Creative Suite, BlackBaud, Constant Contact, Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, and Canva 

• Knowledge of Asana, Raiser’s Edge, website design, content management systems, HTML, CSS helpful

• Ability to work independently when necessary while always contributing to the efforts of the overall team

Qualifications
 
• 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in an educational setting
