This position includes creating a positive classroom community, establishing effective rapport with students, challenging and motivating students to learn, and establishing collaborative relationships with parents and staff members.

To be qualified for the position, you will need a Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Education and either have prior teaching experience in Grades 4-5 in the last ten (10) years or have taken coursework, seminars or workshops relevant to Grades 4-5 education in the last two (2) years. Additionally, a valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Elementary Education (Self Contained General Education) – Kindergarten through Grade 9 endorsement.
