Twin Cities International Schools (TCIS) is currently accepting applications for a full time (1.0 F.T.E.) K-5 Reading Teacher/Interventionist position for the 2026-2027 school year. We are a public charter school located in the North Loop of Minneapolis with a student enrollment of approximately 1,000 students (K-8.)
The K–5 Reading Teacher/Interventionist supports students' literacy development across kindergarten through fifth grade. This position provides daily reading instruction to leveled reading groups and delivers targeted reading interventions to students who are not meeting grade-level expectations. The teacher collaborates closely with classroom teachers, specialists, and administrators to promote strong literacy outcomes for all learners.

Salary is determined by experience and education, with the 2026-27 school year licensed employee salaries ranging from $47,568.18 to $85,922.88. Current Minnesota licensed Tier 3 or 4 teacher salary starts at $51,828.55. Additional salary amounts available for completed Master's, Master's + 60 credits, Ed.D. or Ph.D.Additional benefits are also available for full-time employees, including optional medical, dental and vision benefits and include coverage of employee, employee + 1 or family. Employee is responsible for a monthly insurance premium, depending on plan and coverage selected. Life Insurance/AD&D, along with Short-term and Long-term disability coverage, is provided by TCIS. Flex spending accounts for medical or dependent care are also available, but optional. Twin Cities International Schools (TCIS) is taking applications for an EL/ESL/ELL (English Language) Teacher to work with Elementary and Middle School students (Grades 6-8) for the upcoming 2026-27 school year with a start date of August 16th, 2026. Applicants must hold a valid Minnesota EL teaching license prior to classroom teaching. We are a public charter school located in the North Loop of Minneapolis with a student enrollment of approximately 1,000 (K-8) students and a large LEP population. The EL teacher will be responsible for teaching various groups of students, creating lesson plans, working with collaborative teams, engaging in clear communication with both staff and students and contributing positively to the learning and development of students. Twin Cities International Schools (TCIS) is now hiring for a year-round (FT 1.0 FTE) 2026-27 K-8 Building/Long-Call Substitute Teacher. This position will include teaching 6th-8th Grade ELA class from approximately October 1st, 2026 continuing through February 2027 as the Building Substitute. Applicants must hold a valid MN Teaching License or have a valid Short/Long-call Substitute license by date of hire, both of which are acceptable. This position is an annual contract for the entirety of the 2026-27 school year.Responsibilities would include (but not limited to): Providing direct instruction and to facilitate learning for all students, teaching assigned grade classes/subjects using the plans set forth by the absent teacher, meeting the needs of each student through individual and group instruction, following all policies and procedures to which regular teachers are subject and which good teaching practice dictates, clear communication with both staff and students and contributing positively to the learning and development of students. If not in classroom, additional administrative, supervision or miscellaneous tasks and duties would be assigned.
