Welcome Bedford Applicants!

Welcome to the Bedford Public Schools. Bedford is a thriving community of 14,000 residents with a high-performing school system bolstered by strong town support. While we are a small district of about 2,500, we have a uniquely diverse student population with students from Bedford, Hanscom Air Force Base, and Boston (the latter via METCO, a voluntary desegregation program). We have over 200 school employees who have worked for the District for at least 10 years, which reflects positively on how our employees feel about working here.

As a community of lifelong learners, we offer multiple programs for professional development, including Skillful Teachers, High Expectations Teaching, and IDEAS1:Anti-Racist School Practices, just to name a few. We also have early dismissal every Wednesday which allows for professional development, staff collaboration, and planning time.

We are currently engaged in an exciting, collaborative strategic planning process with the staff and community to outline goals for 2024-2027. You can read more about this as the process unfolds through fall 2024 via Superintendent Updates | Bedford Public Schools (bedfordps.org)

Thank you for your interest in serving the Bedford Public Schools community. We look forward to showing you why Bedford is a great place to work.

Sincerely,
Cliff Chuang
(he/him)
Superintendent, Bedford Public Schools
