Thank you for your interest in career opportunities with Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools (CHCCS). Please click on the appropriate link below to start an application for employment. Previously, CHCCS employment applications were submitted through the NC Department of Public Instruction's (NCDPI) schooljobs website.  Please note the following important changes if you submitted an application prior to January 30, 2017:

  • If you submitted an application for a specific vacancy via NCDPI's schooljobs website, your application will still be considered.
  • If you submitted an application to be kept on file and not for any specific vacancy via the NCDPI schooljobs site, you application will no longer be on file.  Instead, you will have to create another application via AppliTrack.
  • If you already have an AppliTrack account, you can import some of your existing information from an existing AppliTrack application into one for CHCCS once you log into your account.
  • If you do not have an AppliTrack account, please create one in order to apply for CHCCS positions.
For those applicants who already have an AppliTrack account and applied for a vacancy and want to apply for another position you need to:
  1. Log into your existing application via your AppliTrack account.
  2. Apply for the new CHCCS position(s) by placing a check in the box next to the job vacancy or desired position(s).
  3. Complete any additional information that may be required for the new position.  You can determine if additional information is required by reviewing the Confirmation Page of your application for messages – you will see any messages on the last page.
  4. After completing steps 1-3, you must hit the "SUBMIT Application" button in order for your new application to be seen by CHCCS Human Resources and/or the principal.

In order to make sure you will receive emails regarding your AppliTrack application, please:
  1. Make sure your email settings accept emails from mailbot@applitrack.com and any email including @applitrack.com and/or @chccs.k12.nc.us.
  2. Please do not use Internet Explorer as your web browser for AppliTrack, as certain functions are not available with Internet Explorer.
  3. AppliTrack uses javascript, so your web browser must have javascript enabled.  Please make sure you do not have any software installed that would prevent javascript from running.
