Glenbrook North High School's Student Activities Department is seeking applicants to serve as a Snowball Coordinator for the 2026-2027 school year. Operation Snowball is a retreat-based student organization at GBN dedicated to promoting healthy lifestyle choices, mental health awareness, leadership development, effective communication skills, and a supportive school community among students and staff.
The Adult Director works collaboratively with fellow adult and student directors to plan, organize, and implement club programming throughout the academic year, including the annual Operation Snowball retreat.
Primary Responsibilities:
Adult Directors are responsible for supervising the annual Operation Snowball retreat, a three-day, two-night event held each November at a YMCA camp in Wisconsin. The retreat typically serves up to 125 students and requires active participation, supervision, and leadership throughout the duration of the event. This position may require a staff member who can provide supervision in a gender-specific environment, which may be considered a bona fide occupational qualification under applicable law.
