HOW TO APPLY TO DISTRICT 196

Welcome to District 196!  We are excited you are considering employment with us. 

So that we can review your credentials and experience, we will need a completed online application showing us which jobs you wish to work at District 196.  If your qualifications meet the requirements of the position and district needs, we will be in touch with further information and a possible interview to follow.

Current District 196 substitutes, long term substitutes and coaches as well as active District 196 employees with a position in a different bargaining group are considered external applicants.  Please complete the appropriate online application labeled for external applicants.

If you have questions about a vacancy, please contact the building with the vacancy.  Our schools conduct interviews for their locations and make hiring recommendations.  They will be able to provide the most up-to-date information regarding where they are at in their hiring process. Please understand the hiring proce
ss can take a while to complete.  We appreciate your patience as we work through the steps to find the best candidate.
