Application Help Guide

1. Can I submit multiple cover letters? Should I tailor them for each job?

  • You can upload multiple cover letters on the Supplemental Materials page.
  • Best practice: upload one cover letter per type of job rather than one per district.
  • Do not modify your cover letter for each district—all districts you've applied to will see the most recently uploaded version.

2. How do I apply for internal postings?

Some districts post jobs internally to current employees before opening them to outside applicants.

To apply internally:

  • On page 3, select the district where you are employed.
  • Click Apply Internally.
  • Advance to the next page to view internal postings.

To see all postings within the consortium, return to page 3 and select No for internal application.

3. Why am I being asked for references, and what if they haven't received the survey?

Some districts require references as part of the application.
If your references haven't received the survey:

  • Go to the References page in your application.
  • Click Resend the Survey Now for each reference.

References may receive multiple surveys if you apply to different positions.

4. How can I tell if a school or district received my application?

  • Log into your account and click the Home tab. You'll see which job postings you've applied to and which you haven't.
  • The system updates in real-time; your submission is immediately placed in the applicant queue.
  • Avoid deselecting vacancies on page 4 unless you want to remove your application from consideration.
  • Resubmitting your application to include additional vacancies is acceptable.

5. What information is required in the education section?

Include details such as:

  • Highest degree attained
  • Overall and major GPA
  • Graduate hours beyond your degree
  • Area of study and honors/awards

Ensure this information matches your academic transcripts.

6. How do I import my application from another district or consortium?

  • Click the red Apply button on the desired job posting.
  • Choose Import Application.
  • Enter your login credentials from the other account.
  • Follow the prompts to complete the import process.

7. Why don't I see an option to upload a resume or cover letter?

  • Resumes and cover letters are uploaded on the Supplemental Materials page.
  • Some job postings may not require supplemental materials, so the page may not appear for all positions.
  • If you do see the page, you can upload your documents there before submitting your application.

8. What should I include in my work experience section?

Provide your most recent employment, including:

  • Employer name and address
  • Position title and dates of employment
  • Contact information
  • Reason for leaving
  • Key responsibilities and accomplishments

9. What should I include in the certifications section?

Provide information on:

  • State licensure status (held or anticipated)
  • Type of licensure and issuing state
  • National Board Certification, if applicable
  • Out-of-state licenses should be entered as "Yes" with license details

10. What's the difference between "Vacancy Desired" (page 4) and "Position Desired" (page 5)?

  • Vacancy Desired (Page 4): Specific active job openings in a district.
  • Position Desired (Page 5): Pools of candidates seeking roles, even if no current posting exists.
  • Selecting multiple pools may add length to your application.

11. Are there tips for navigating Frontline's application system?

  • Check that all required fields are completed before submitting.
  • Save your progress frequently to avoid losing information.
  • Use the Help links throughout the application for guidance on specific sections.
  • Ensure your browser is updated and cookies are enabled for the best experience.
